Can we convince you to “get dirty” for the Co-Op with us?
The Bucks County Opportunity Council (BCOC) needs help harvesting (in the early days it may be planting/weeding/staking, etc) at DelVal College for the Food Pantry this summer.
The BCOC needs at least ten volunteers each week from May into September at the Hope of the Harvest Charitable Garden right here in Doylestown, on the Delaware Valley College campus. The Charitable Garden will help meet a critical need for fresh food in the emergency food network right here in Bucks County. No experience necessary! Come once or all summer! Depending on the week you volunteer, activities will include: weeding, staking, twining, planting, harvesting, and packing food.
This is a wonderful opportunity for the Food Co-Op to help a local organization… and while we continue to look for a “store” for the Co-Op this organization can help us accomplish our mission of getting REAL food to our community.
Harvest Dates are:
June 12
June 19
June 26
July 3
July 10
July 17
Please consider joining us and donating a few hours each week.
