Can we convince you to “get dirty”? The Bucks County Opportunity Council (BCOC) needs help harvesting at DelVal College for the Food Pantry next week.
The Charitable Garden is in it's final weeks, with three more volunteer garden days scheduled. While groups are scheduled for 9/25 and 9/26, there are absolutely not enough people scheduled for 9/18. We meet at 8:45 am on 9/18 in the market parking lot, and work from 9 am – 11/12. at 8:45 a.m. You can RSVP directly to Eileen Albillar at BCOC.
The other two remaining dates are afternoons- Wednesday 9/25 at 12:45 pm and Thursday 9/26 at 12:45 pm. Although there are people scheduled for these, others are welcome!
The Charitable Garden has helped all summer to meet a critical need for fresh food in the emergency food network right here in Bucks County. No experience necessary! Come once or all summer! Depending on the week you volunteer, activities will include: weeding, staking, twining, planting, harvesting, and packing food.
This is a wonderful opportunity for the Food Co-Op to help a local organization…and help us accomplish our mission of getting REAL food to our community.
