Salted Caramel Brownies

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 + tbs Saucy Sue's - Salted Caramel Sauce

Directions:

Melt the butter first and mix all ingredients with butter in the order given.  Mix in 2tbs salted caramel sauce or to taste preference. Scrape batter into prepared pan, spreading until mostly even. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 20 to 30 minutes in a 9 x 13 inch greased pan.  Dress with salted caramel sauce on top.

Cool thoroughly — a process that can be hastened in the freezer, which will also produce cleaner cuts — and cut into squares or other desired shapes.
