Have parking issues come between you and your desire to indulge in the healthy, fresh and locally sourced products available at the Doylestown Food Market? Don’t despair. We’ve put together some tips and hints to make shopping at DFM more convenient.
Free? Really? There actually are six free 15-minute max spaces within a block of our store on State Street. Plenty of time to grab some fresh veggies, a healthy prepared meal, delicious snack or wonderful local coffees.
Aprés des heures: After banking hours, you can park free in the Wells Fargo bank lot giving you time on weekdays and Saturdays (plus all day Sunday!) to shop at DFM.
Street cred: With the installation of the new parking meter system that takes coins and credit or debit cards, there has been more turn over of spaces and more spaces available during the day.
Lots of lots: Well, maybe not lots; but there are two parking lots available in less than one block, one on Hamilton Street and the other behind Starbucks.
Walk the Walk: If you are up to it, there are places further out you can park for free such as on Court Street, North Clinton Street or East Oakland. After all, you are going to a healthy food store. Might as well get the exercise, too.
There is also the Bucks County Parking Garage at Union and Broad Street. You can get a bit more walking in, or take the shuttle bus into town.
Just bag it: No, we don’t mean give up. Once you park and shop, you can retrieve your car and pull it around to the back of DFM and we will bring the bags out for you. You can’t park there for any length of time, but you can make a quick stop for your purchases.
And remember, while parking may not be perfect, there are convenient options. And, it is well worth the effort when you consider the benefits of shopping at DFM.
